Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity impacting students as a Physical Therapist in the Olympia area. In this full-time role, you'll provide vital support during a maternity leave coverage beginning in January, working closely with students, educators, and families to improve mobility, promote functional independence, and foster participation in the school environment. Your expertise will ensure students have access to essential services, helping them achieve success within their educational programs. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, support student goals, and create inclusive experiences where every child can thrive.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program Active or eligible Washington state PT license Previous experience working within a school or pediatric setting preferred Strong understanding of IEP process and compliance requirements Skill in developing individualized treatment plans and progress reports Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, OT, SLP, and families Driven to inspire and encourage students in achieving their potential
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop targeted treatment plans Deliver direct and consultative PT services within school settings Monitor, document, and report on student progress toward therapy goals Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate for student success Adapt interventions to meet the diverse needs of students Offer guidance and training to school staff regarding physical accommodations and mobility supports Maintain all necessary clinical documentation per district guidelines This opportunity offers a fulfilling experience for Physical Therapists passionate about supporting students' abilities and well-being.
