Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a full-time contract position as a Physical Therapist, providing crucial support in a school-based environment near Lacey, WA. This opportunity opens in January as maternity leave coverage, offering a rewarding way to make a difference in students' everyday lives.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program Current state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist Previous experience working in school-based settings is highly preferred Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs for students Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers Ability to organize and manage a flexible caseload across various age groups
Role Responsibilities:
Provide skilled physical therapy services to students, focusing on mobility, gross motor skills, and functional independence Conduct evaluations and assessments in accordance with district policies and best practices Create, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on student needs and educational goals Participate in IEP meetings, accurately documenting progress and adapting interventions as necessary Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, special educators, and school teams for holistic student support Offer education and training to staff and families to foster student progress and inclusion
