Job Description

Build the kind of physical therapy practice you believe patients deserve. Imagine having a full hour with every patient, without insurance authorizations, visit limits, billing restrictions, or pressure to justify care to anyone other than the patient in front of you. Imagine markedly reducing the documentation burden, making much more than you could as an insurance credentialled therapist and making a powerful difference in patient's lives. Innova Physical Therapy is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist to develop a full-time, cash-pay caseload within our established Redmond clinic. This opportunity combines the autonomy and earning potential of building a private-pay practice with the professional environment, collaboration, mentorship, and operational support of an established physical therapy clinic. Every appointment is 60 minutes and completely one-on-one . There are no aides, assistants, overlapping patients, or insurance-driven treatment requirements. Why This Opportunity Is Different Starting a private-pay practice independently requires significant overhead, seemingly endless administrative work, professional isolation, real liability and remarkable financial risk. At Innova, you can develop your own caseload and clinical identity and substantial reimbursement by while practicing within an established and supportive environment. Forget the stressful burdens of administration, credentialling, insurance, bookkeeping, scheduling, physical management of the clinic, HR, keeping up on rules and regulations, taxes, managing front desk, billers, support services, etc.
You will have:
One-hour, one-on-one patient appointments Compensation equal to 50% of collected patient revenue No insurance billing, authorizations, visit limits, or payer-directed treatment requirements Freedom to recommend care based on clinical need and patient goals A professional clinic environment with a small caring team Your specialty practice in a region with the socioeconomic capacity to support the reimbursement you deserve Administrative, marketing and operational support Opportunities for internal and community referrals Access to clinical mentorship and collaborative case discussion The ability to develop a specialty or niche aligned with your interests A team that values quality, integrity, and meaningful patient relationships This is an opportunity to build something special with a supportive team. Our Values Innova was founded in 2014 to provide a more thoughtful and individualized approach to physical therapy. Our values are not simply statements on a website; they shape how we treat patients, support each other, and make team decisions. Individualized, Cause-Driven Care We look beyond symptoms to understand the mechanical, movement, behavioral, lifestyle, and systemic factors affecting the patient. Treatment is based on the individual, not an insurance template or predetermined protocol. Find the driver and accomplish what other PTs cannot. Dignity and Respect Care must never feel transactional. Patients deserve the value you can provide. They want to feel heard, understood, and respected. We take time to explain our reasoning, invite questions, and involve patients in decisions about their care. Collaboration Clinical autonomy does not have to mean professional isolation. We value case discussion, shared learning, and collaboration with other clinicians and healthcare professionals. Empowerment and Hope Patients are investing directly in their care. Our responsibility is to provide meaningful value by helping them understand their condition, build confidence, and become less dependent on treatment over time. Continuous Learning and Excellence We are looking for a clinician who wants to keep improving. Strong cash-pay care requires more than technical skill; it requires clinical reasoning, communication, adaptability, and the ability to demonstrate value during every visit. Mentorship Without Sacrificing Autonomy You will have the independence to develop your own clinical style, specialty, and patient relationships, but you will not be expected to solve every difficult case alone. Clinical mentorship is available from Innova's owner, an internationally trained fellowship instructor, manual therapy certification examiner, national educator and full time clinician with over 25 years of experience. He has extensive experience in complex orthopedic conditions, innovative manual therapy systems, neuromuscular assessment and re-education, persistent pain, and hypermobility-related disorders.
Mentorship may include:
Facilitation and education on how to build a cash pay practice Collaborative review of difficult or nonresponsive cases Evaluation strategy and differential diagnosis Manual therapy and movement-assessment reasoning Exercise selection and progression Patient communication and expectation setting Explaining the value of cash-pay physical therapy Developing/ marketing a specialty service or clinical niche Building referral relationships and patient retention Navigating the transition from insurance-based to private-pay care Mentorship is available to support your development—not to micromanage your practice. What You Will Do As a private-pay Physical Therapist at Innova, you will: Perform comprehensive evaluations during one-hour appointments Develop valuable individualized, patient-centered plans of care Provide one-on-one treatment during every visit Who Will Thrive in This Role This position is best suited for a clinician who wants more than a traditional high-volume outpatient job. You may be an excellent fit if you: Want a full hour to evaluate and treat each patient Believe excellent care should be guided by clinical judgment rather than insurance rules Are motivated to build and maintain your own caseload Enjoy developing lasting relationships with patients Can confidently explain your recommendations and the value of your services Are comfortable asking patients to invest in a thoughtful plan of care Take initiative rather than waiting for a schedule to be filled for you Value autonomy but still appreciate mentorship and collaboration Want to develop a specialty or become known for treating a particular population Are dependable, organized, professional, and responsive Measure success by patient outcomes, trust, and long-term reputation This is not a traditional guaranteed-volume position. Income is directly connected to collected patient revenue, making the role especially well suited to a clinician who is entrepreneurial, relationship-oriented, and motivated to grow. We will help you be successful. Areas of Clinical Interest We welcome therapists with existing expertise or a strong interest in development of a specialty niche. We will help you build a niche in a region, like pelvic health, a diagnosis, like cervicogenic headaches, and/or an activity, such as performing arts rehabilitation. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program Current Washington State Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one Strong clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills Commitment to ethical, evidence-informed, patient-centered care Willingness to actively develop and maintain a cash-pay caseload Ability to complete professional and timely documentation Compensation 50% of collected patient revenue for services you provide. This could range between $75 to $100 per hour. One-hour, one-on-one appointments No insurance billing or authorization requirements Earnings based on appointment volume, patient retention, and collected revenue Access to mentorship, collaboration, and an established clinical environment Innova Physical Therapy is an equal-opportunity employer. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to maintaining a respectful, inclusive, and supportive workplace.
