Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a positive impact in the lives of students by providing expert physical therapy services in a supportive school-based environment. This part-time, contract opportunity is perfect for a dedicated professional seeking to balance meaningful work with flexibility. You'll work approximately one day each week (Wednesdays preferred, but scheduling can be adjusted), collaborating with educators and families to help students achieve their physical development goals.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
  • Experience working with school-aged children preferred
  • Knowledge of IEP process and special education services
  • Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Adaptable and organized, comfortable working independently across multiple student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Deliver therapeutic physical therapy interventions tailored to individual education plans
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' needs and document progress
  • Consult with teachers and staff to support classroom accommodations and equipment use
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to planning sessions
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to all school and compliance requirements
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student participation and growth
