Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a school-based Physical Therapist serving students requiring support and interventions to thrive academically and physically. This contract position covers a maternity leave and starts in January, offering engaging full-time hours within a dynamic educational setting near Rochester, WA, in the Tumwater/Olympia area. You'll collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement individualized plans, making a meaningful difference in children's lives through your specialized therapy skills.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Physical Therapist Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly valued Strong understanding of IEP development and documentation processes Exceptional interpersonal skills for collaborating with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Proficient in adapting interventions to diverse needs and learning environments
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services for students birth-grade 12 Conduct assessments to develop individualized treatment plans and contribute to IEP teams Track and document student progress and make data-driven recommendations for modifications Educate and support school staff and families regarding student needs, adaptation strategies, and equipment use Maintain compliance with state, federal, and district policies and timelines Discover a supportive environment where your expertise truly matters!
