Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students across a district near Spanaway, WA for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) offers the chance to partner with educators as you deliver high-quality physical therapy services to students, making a meaningful impact on their educational journey. As the dedicated physical therapist, youll work district-wide and manage a caseload of approximately 25-30 students, providing onsite services that foster growth and achievement. Collaborate robustly with teachers, staff, and families, designing interventions and supporting access to the curriculum for students with varying physical needs. Your expertise will play a crucial role in empowering every learner to thrive in the academic environment.
Skills and Credentials:
Valid Washington State Physical Therapy license, or willingness to obtain one before the start date. Completion of fingerprinting process through OSPI, or willingness to complete prior to assignment. Experience or strong interest in working with pediatric populations, especially within a school setting. Ability to work independently across multiple sites and as part of a collaborative educational team. Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative PT services to K-12 students within the district. Develop and deliver individualized therapy plans aligned with student IEPs. Conduct screenings, assessments, and progress monitoring. Attend multidisciplinary meetings and communicate recommendations effectively with school teams and families. Maintain required records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
