Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students' development and mobility across a diverse district. This contract Physical Therapist assignment begins August 13, 2025, and runs through May 28, 2026, with a renewal option based on performance and district needs. You'll work 20 hours per week, providing direct services to approximately 30 students ages PreK through 21, serving multiple school sites within a supportive, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with disabilities or physical challenges Evaluate student needs using standardized assessments and collaborate on IEP goal planning Deliver therapy services in varied settings, adapting to both classroom and pull-out models Educate and support staff and families on therapeutic exercises, accommodations, and adaptive equipment Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and participate in IEP meetings Travel between up to seven district schools as part of your weekly schedule Maintain accurate records and comply with district and state documentation protocols

Qualifications:

Licensed Physical Therapist with current credentials (or eligibility) for schools in West Virginia Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Comfort working with students across a broad age spectrum and varied abilities Ability to work independently while networking with teachers, staff, and families Enjoy a blend of professional autonomy and district-wide teamwork, making a visible difference in students' ability to access their education.
