Location:
Long Beach Northeast and Southeast Responsibilities Helps to improve or minimize residual physical disabilities of patients assigned to PTA. Providing treatment as ordered by the attending physician and under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Consults with Physical Therapist before any change in treatment. Educates and instructs patients and family members in home programs for balance and gait training. Observing, recording, and reporting information on the patient's condition to the attending physician, supervising Physical Therapist, case manager, and in the patient's health record. Teaching and supervising other healthcare personnel when appropriate. Evaluating the home environment and making appropriate recommendations. Qualifications Licensed/registered to practice as a PTA in the state of practice. Possesses and maintains good physical stamina and mental health. Presents a pre-employment physician's health clearance, including negative TB skin tests and/or CXR and other tests as required by specific state statute. Has the ability to read and follow written instructions and accurately document care provided. Is self-directing and has the ability to work with little direct supervision. Possesses and maintains current CPR certification. Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling the role obligations. Demonstrates tact, patience, and good personal hygiene. Minimum of one (1) year of recent (within the last three (3) years) experience in a Home Health or Hospice Setting. Why Join us? Pay per visit ranges from $45 to $60 visit commensurate with experience and depending on type of visit. The compensation reflected on this posting is an estimate of yearly compensation.
