In this vital role, you will assist licensed physical therapists in delivering exceptional patient care across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and post-acute care environments. Your proactive approach will help ensure smooth clinic operations, foster a welcoming atmosphere, and contribute to positive patient outcomes. Duties Support physical therapists by preparing treatment areas and assisting with patient positioning and transfers Help with patient intake procedures, including gathering medical histories and updating charts accurately Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy equipment and treatment spaces to ensure safety and efficiency Provide compassionate patient service by offering encouragement and answering basic questions about therapy routines Assist with documenting patient progress, treatment notes, and session details under supervision Monitor patient comfort during therapy sessions and report any concerns or changes to the clinical team Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing supplies, and coordinating with other hospital departments Experience Prior experience working in hospital or clinical settings is highly desirable, especially in inpatient or outpatient environments Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to effectively support therapy activities Experience with patient care, including assisting with mobility, transfers, and basic therapeutic exercises Familiarity with acute care, post-acute care, orthopedics, geriatrics, or sub-acute care settings is a plus Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient service while maintaining professionalism and empathy Previous hospital or clinic experience that involved intake procedures or outpatient services will be advantageous Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to enhancing recovery through compassionate care.
