Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapy Aide, where you will play a vital role in supporting patient recovery and enhancing their rehabilitation experience. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with licensed physical therapists, assist in delivering exceptional patient care, and gain valuable experience in various clinical settings. Whether in outpatient clinics, inpatient hospital units, or post-acute care environments, you'll be at the forefront of helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life through compassionate support and efficient assistance. Responsibilities Assist physical therapists with patient preparation, including setting up treatment areas and ensuring proper equipment is ready for therapy sessions Support patients during therapy exercises by providing encouragement and ensuring safety protocols are followed Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment spaces, equipment, and supplies to uphold a safe environment Help with patient intake procedures, including recording vital signs and updating medical records under supervision Transport patients within the facility as needed, ensuring comfort and safety during transfers Observe and document patient progress during therapy sessions to inform treatment plans Communicate effectively with patients, therapists, and other healthcare team members to facilitate seamless care delivery Requirements Strong commitment to patient service and compassionate patient care Basic knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to support clinical activities Prior hospital experience or familiarity with inpatient and outpatient settings is highly desirable Experience working in acute care, post-acute care, or sub-acute care environments preferred Knowledge of orthopedics, geriatrics, or hospital medicine enhances your ability to support diverse patient needs Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining a positive attitude Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and patients Embark on a rewarding career path that combines energetic support with meaningful patient interactions.
