Description:
An entry level position the assists Physical and Occupational Therapists with maintaining a clean and safe therapy clinic. PRN positions (any/all full days Monday through Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM)
Essential Job Functions:
Aid in setting up equipment or treatment areas to assist Physical Therapist with care and safety of patients. Performs housekeeping duties of the facility by routine and periodic cleaning; to maintain order and cleanliness throughout the facility. Assist therapist/assistants in selected procedures, according to their directions, to aid in patient care in the facility. Maintain daily, weekly and monthly logs for cleaning and stocking the clinic as well as for safety checks. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, and co-workers. Performs other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the department/practice.
Requirements:
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma plus additional job related training, or equivalent on the job experience. CPR/AED and First Aid Certification preferred.
Other Requirements:
Schedules will change as department needs change, including overtime and weekends. Travel as needed.
Performance Requirements:
Knowledge:
Knowledge of HIPPA, OSHA and safety regulations. Knowledge of customer services standards. Knowledge of cleaning agents and methods.
Skills:
Excellent adaptability skills. Excellent organizational and multi tasking skills.
Abilities:
Ability to work with time constraints. Ability to work effectively and deal courteously with patients, staff, and others. Ability to organize work environment and work load to meet needs of the organization. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to understand, interpret and carry out oral and written instructions.
Equipment Operated:
Standard office and physical therapy equipment.
Work Environment:
Physical therapy clinic.
Mental/Physical Requirements:
Often have to stoop, kneel, crouch, lift, and stand for long periods. Frequently move heavy equipment, lift patients or help them turn, stand or walk. Occasionally must be able to lift and carry 50+ pounds.
