Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to join our team. In this role, you will support physical therapists in providing exceptional patient care and assist with various therapeutic activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of patient service and care, along with knowledge of anatomy and physiology. This position is crucial for ensuring patients receive the highest quality of care during their rehabilitation process. Responsibilities Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients. Prepare treatment areas and ensure all necessary equipment is ready for use. Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks, providing encouragement and support. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the therapy area. Document patient progress and report any changes to the supervising therapist. Manage patient intake by gathering necessary information and ensuring proper documentation. Facilitate communication between patients, therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and office policies. Qualifications Strong background in patient service and patient care. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology is preferred. Experience in a hospital setting or outpatient clinic is highly desirable. Familiarity with acute care, post-acute care, sub-acute care, geriatrics, orthopedics, and inpatient services is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills. Previous experience in a rehabilitation or therapy setting is advantageous but not mandatory. A commitment to providing compassionate care to all patients.
