Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist physical therapists in providing high-quality care to patients in a hospital or outpatient setting. This role is essential in helping patients regain mobility and improve their overall physical health. The Physical Therapy Aide will work closely with patients, demonstrating care and support throughout their rehabilitation journey. We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who will be able to work year-round! Students are encouraged to apply but must be able to work 8-5 MWF during the school year! Duties Assist physical therapists with patient treatments and exercises, ensuring safety and proper technique. Prepare treatment areas by cleaning and organizing equipment and supplies. Help patients with mobility, including transferring them to and from treatment areas. Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes to the supervising therapist. Communicate effectively with patients, providing excellent patient service and support. Collaborate with healthcare professionals in an outpatient setting to ensure comprehensive patient care. Experience Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is preferred, enhancing the ability to assist in patient rehabilitation effectively. Familiarity with medical terminology related to physical therapy practices. Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in geriatrics or hospital medicine, is advantageous but not required. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service and care.
