Overview Join our healthcare team as a Physical Therapy Aide, where your energy and dedication will directly support patient recovery and well-being. Duties Assist physical therapists with patient intake, positioning, and transfers using proper patient transfer methods to ensure safety and comfort. Prepare treatment areas by setting up equipment, supplies, and therapy tools according to prescribed protocols. Support patients during therapy exercises by providing manual handling assistance and ensuring correct technique under supervision. Monitor patient responses during sessions, report observations to therapists, and document relevant information accurately. Maintain strict patient confidentiality while handling sensitive health information in compliance with privacy regulations. Help with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing clinic supplies. Support hospital or outpatient facility operations by assisting with patient care activities across inpatient or post-acute care settings. Requirements Prior experience practicing in a physical therapy role or related healthcare setting is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to rehabilitation care. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively during patient transfers or equipment handling. Experience working in hospital medicine, inpatient units, or outpatient clinics—especially within geriatrics or sub-acute care environments—is advantageous. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required to ensure preparedness for emergency situations. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate support to diverse patient populations. Familiarity with rehabilitation techniques, post-acute care practices, and acute care procedures enhances your suitability for this role. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced settings such as hospitals or clinics while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.
