Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapist Aide, where you will play a vital role in supporting patient recovery and enhancing their rehabilitation experience. This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with licensed physical therapists, assisting in delivering high-quality physiotherapy care across various settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, and post-acute care facilities. Your dedication will help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their overall well-being through compassionate support and efficient assistance. Duties Assist physical therapists with patient intake, setup, and preparation for therapy sessions to ensure smooth workflow Support patient transfer methods using proper manual handling techniques while maintaining safety and comfort Prepare treatment areas by cleaning equipment, arranging therapy tools, and ensuring hygiene standards are met Help patients with exercises and mobility activities under supervision, promoting proper form and safety Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment routines, and session details in accordance with confidentiality policies Support rehabilitation care by providing assistance during therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by therapists Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, medical terminology standards, and safety procedures during all interactions Requirements Prior experience practicing in a physical therapy or healthcare role is highly preferred Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and patient transfer methods to support effective care delivery Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform manual handling tasks efficiently Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with diverse client populations Familiarity with medical terminology, CPR certification, and acute or inpatient care experience is advantageous Experience working in hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, orthopedics, geriatrics or sub-acute care settings is desirable Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to all health and safety regulations Embark on a rewarding career where your support directly impacts patients' lives.
