Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Physical Therapy Aide and Receptionist. This dual role requires a blend of administrative skills and hands-on assistance in a physical therapy setting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a compassionate demeanor, and the ability to multitask effectively. We are seeking a dependable team member to provide coverage at this clinic during the following hours, with the opportunity for additional hours as a Physical Therapy Aide at our North Clinic.

12:45 PM•5:00 PM Additional hours may be available based on clinic needs and employee availability.
Responsibilities:
Physical Therapy Aide:
Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients under their supervision. Guide patients through prescribed exercises and activities, ensuring proper technique and safety. Set up equipment and prepare treatment areas for therapy sessions. Provide support to patients during therapeutic exercises, offering encouragement and motivation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the therapy area, including sanitizing equipment and replenishing supplies. Escort patients to and from treatment areas, as needed. Collaborate with the therapy team to track patient progress and update treatment plans accordingly. Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations and guidelines.
Receptionist:
Greet patients and visitors with a friendly and welcoming attitude. Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the appointment calendar efficiently. Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and collect payments as necessary. Coordinate with insurance providers to obtain authorization for therapy services. Handle administrative tasks such as filing paperwork, updating patient records, and managing correspondence. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations. Assist with billing and coding processes as directed by the administrative team. Address patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Qualifications:
Physical Therapy Aide:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting preferred. Basic understanding of physical therapy principles and techniques. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. CPR certification (nice to have)
Receptionist:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in a customer service or receptionist role. Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office and electronic medical records systems. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures is a plus.
Working Conditions:
This position involves both administrative duties in an office setting and hands-on assistance in a physical therapy environment.
