Job Summary At Prevea Health, the Therapy Aide is responsible for supporting all therapies, including physical therapy, speech-language , and occupational therapy, by assisting with patient preparation, equipment setup, and administrative tasks to ensure efficient and effective therapy sessions. This role is vital in maintaining a well-organized therapy environment and enhancing patient care. What you will do Carries out routine operational functions including maintaining treatment and gym areas. This can include cleaning, disinfecting, and store therapy equipment after each use. Also reporting any equipment malfunctions to staff. Provide patient assistance by escorting them to treatment areas and with any further patient set up as instructed by the therapist. Assist with positioning during therapy session this could include but is not limited guarding techniques for patient safety, providing support to treatment modalities, etc. Offers administrative support in conjunction with Patient Service Representative team to help manage patient wait-list and other scheduling needs within electronic medical records system (EPIC) Order supplies and equipment for clinics Education Qualifications High School Diploma and/or GED Required Skills and Abilities Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of therapy to provide appropriate care to the patient. Working knowledge of medical terminology Working knowledge of electronic medical records system (EPIC) Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. Fosters work and patient relationships through excellent interpersonal skills and behaviors. Ability to prioritize work and meet changing demands. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work under stressful or emergency situations with high concentration and energy level. Possess skills to effectively problem solve. Ability to use computer, phone and office equipment.
