Full Job Description Physical Therapy Technician Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and motivated Physical Therapy Technician to join our team. As a Physical Therapy Technician, you will work closely with licensed Physical Therapists and performance coaches to assist in extension of patient care, coordination of administrative duties, general clinic tidiness, and most importantly, to provide excellent customer service. Your primary goal will be to support and enhance the patient experience during their rehab plan of care. The mentorship provided in our exceptional work environment will help you reach your professional goals, with a focus in the physical therapy and performance sectors, to prepare you for a career in any health or movement profession (PT, personal trainer, ATC, OT, SLP, PA, NP, or DC).

Responsibilities:

Prepare treatment areas and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality. Instruct patients on therapeutic exercises and assist them in performing prescribed exercises safely and effectively. Provide support during therapeutic procedures such as heat/cold applications, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and traction. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and billing information. Schedule patient appointments and manage the daily workflow of the physical therapy department. Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment. Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; the ideal candidate has graduated college and is looking to apply to PT school within the next 1-2 years. Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is highly desirable. Knowledge of human anatomy, common physical therapy techniques, and medical terminology. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical record systems. CPR and first aid certification (clinic will provide training, if needed).
