The ideal candidate will assist physical therapists in providing high-quality patient care. This role is essential in ensuring that patients receive the support they need during their rehabilitation process, contributing to their overall recovery and well-being. Responsibilities Assist physical therapists with patient intake and preparation for therapy sessions. Support patients during exercises and therapeutic activities, ensuring they perform movements safely and effectively. Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, including sanitizing equipment and preparing supplies. Document patient progress and report any changes in condition to the supervising therapist. Educate patients on proper techniques and exercises to enhance their recovery. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions and concerns promptly and empathetically. Schedule We offer flexible scheduling and have availability on: Monday, Wednesday, Friday for either early mornings until afternoon or in the afternoon to close (about 9pm) Tuesday and Thursday afternoons (12:30pm) to evenings (6:30pm) Saturday mornings (7am-1pm) Experience Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in outpatient clinics, is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and acute care practices is highly beneficial. Familiarity with geriatric care, orthopedics, sub-acute care, and post-acute care experience will be advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and service are essential for success in this role. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating professionalism at all times.
