This role involves providing rehabilitative services to students within the school environment, supporting their physical development and functional independence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care, anatomy, and physiology, with experience in various clinical settings such as outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, or skilled nursing facilities. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives through tailored therapy interventions. • Must have PTA Certification• Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing individualized care plans for students across diverse age groups, including pediatrics and geriatrics. Conduct therapeutic exercises and modalities, including trigger point therapy, to improve mobility, strength, and function. Monitor and document patient progress accurately, adjusting interventions as needed under supervision. Support discharge planning by preparing students for transitions back to regular activities or home environments. Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery within the school setting. Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment adhering to all safety protocols and infection control standards. Participate in team meetings to discuss treatment goals, progress notes, and care strategies.
Schedule & Compensation Hours:
18-22 hours per week, Monday-Friday during school hours.
Contract:
August 2026 - June 3, 2027. Competitive hourly rate based on experience. Skills Proven experience in physiotherapy with knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Skilled in trigger point therapy and other manual therapy techniques. Strong understanding of inpatient, outpatient, home health, acute care, clinic experience, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and skilled nursing facility environments. Ability to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual student needs. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including teachers and family members. Ability to adapt therapy approaches based on patient response and developmental stages. Knowledge of discharge planning processes to facilitate smooth transitions for students returning to daily activities or home settings. This position is ideal for motivated professionals committed to improving student health outcomes through compassionate care and clinical expertise in diverse healthcare settings.
