$34.00 - $40.00 per hour (DOE) Bishop Care Center is seeking compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join rehabilitation team. Opportunity to work in collaborative skilled nursing facility environment focused on delivering high-quality patient-centered care. Position Summary Under supervision of licensed Physical Therapist, PTA provides direct resident care and assists in implementing individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, function, and overall quality of life. Key Responsibilities Provide treatment to residents as directed by Physical Therapist Assist in implementing individualized therapy care plans Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation per regulatory and facility requirements Maintain safe treatment environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team, including therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and families regarding patient progress Participate in care plan meetings and rehabilitation conferences as needed Educate residents and families on therapy goals, exercises, safety, and discharge planning. Assist with training restorative aides and supporting facility therapy programs Qualifications Current California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license required Graduate of accredited PTA program Previous experience in skilled nursing facility (SNF) preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations Physical Requirements Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents safely Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting in clinical environment Why Join Bishop Care Center?
