Physical Therapist Assistant -

Physical Therapist Assistant Reports To:
Physical Therapist/Clinical Director Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant:
Full or part-time position available. New Grads and/or Licensing Applicants welcomed! We have 2 outpatient orthopedic clinics. Our patient population range from adolescents to elderly needing assistance. Our biggest patient population is high school athletes. We specialize in pre- and post-operative care, gait and balance training, sports conditioning, and more.Job Duties:
Treating 1 patient every 30 minutes for a total of 14 patients per 8 hour day, including 1 hour of paid documenting time Meet the patient's goals and needs and provides quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; determining physical therapy treatment in consultation with supervising PT Administers physical therapy treatments by performing manual treatments; determining appropriate modalities such and hot/cold pack, estim, and vasopneumatic compression; directing therapeutic exercise treatments performed with PT aides/technicians Helps patients accomplish treatment plan by performing manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic activities; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities and in using assistive and supportive devices Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, families, and caregivers; recommending and/or providing assisting equipment; recommending outpatient or home health follow-up programs Maintains patient confidence and protects clinic operations by keeping information confidential Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Excellent benefits package and continuing education for employees working 30+ hours a week.Qualifications:
