Responsibilities Assist in developing and executing comprehensive physical therapy treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. Perform manual therapy techniques, including trigger point therapy and other modalities to alleviate pain and improve function. Support clinical assessment documentation by accurately recording patient progress, treatment responses, and adjustments. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring proper usage and maintenance. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals such as physicians, occupational therapists, and nurses to coordinate care strategies. Maintain meticulous medical documentation adhering to clinical standards and electronic health records (EHR) management protocols. Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers to explain procedures, discharge instructions, and care plans to foster understanding and compliance. Qualifications Valid certification or licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in accordance with state or national requirements. Proven experience in outpatient, inpatient, skilled nursing facility, or home health settings demonstrating versatility across care environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy. Hands-on experience with physical therapy treatment implementation including manual therapy techniques like trigger point therapy. Familiarity with clinical assessment documentation standards and medical documentation practices. Ability to operate medical equipment safely and proficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
