Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality care to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. Your expertise will contribute to the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans that enhance patient mobility and overall well-being. Responsibilities Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients with various conditions, including orthopedic and neurological issues. Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities designed to improve strength, flexibility, and coordination. Monitor patient progress and report changes or concerns to the supervising physical therapist. Educate patients and their families on exercise techniques, home care strategies, and safety measures. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in skilled nursing facilities, acute care settings, or home health environments as needed. Utilize knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology to provide effective patient care. Skills Proficient in orthopedic rehabilitation techniques and trigger point therapy. Experience working in skilled nursing facilities or acute care settings is preferred. Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge and medical terminology related to physical therapy practices. Ability to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Experience in pediatrics is a plus but not required. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
