Work Environment This position is situated in a hospital setting in beautiful Pasadena, California, where you will work alongside a team of healthcare professionals in a supportive atmosphere that values innovation and collaboration. Our facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation technology and equipment to ensure optimal patient care. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although some flexibility may be necessary to accommodate the unique needs of our patients. Key Responsibilities Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing personalized treatment plans, using modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and manual therapy techniques to optimize patient outcomes. Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation activities, ensuring they understand the purpose and methods of each exercise for maximum benefit. Provide education to patients about proper body mechanics and home exercise programs that assist in their recovery, minimizing the risk of re-injury. Document patient progress meticulously, tracking metrics such as range of motion and strength, to accurately communicate advancements to the supervising Physical Therapist. Prepare treatment areas by ensuring cleanliness and organization of tools and materials needed for therapy sessions, promoting a safe and efficient working environment. Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team—including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists—to coordinate care and implement integrative treatment approaches. Offer emotional support and motivation to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, actively fostering an encouraging atmosphere that promotes recovery. Maintain strict adherence to confidentiality, professional standards, and ethical guidelines, ensuring the dignity and rights of all patients. Patient Population / Client Focus Our clinic accommodates a diverse patient demographic, ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations with various conditions, including post-operative recovery, chronic pain management, sports-related injuries, and neurological disorders. As a PTA, you will play a crucial role in catering to the unique needs of each patient, adapting treatment modalities according to individual cases to facilitate the best possible recovery. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field. Valid certification or license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of California. Strong foundational knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic techniques relevant to physical therapy practices. Ability to effectively implement therapeutic exercises and modalities in alignment with the treatment plans devised by Physical Therapists. Exceptional communication skills, allowing for the establishment of rapport with patients and collaboration within the healthcare team. Compensation and Benefits The compensation for this role ranges from
USD 50,000
to 65,000 annually, reflecting the candidate's experience and expertise.
