Key Responsibilities Provide skilled, evidence-based therapeutic services under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols. Assist in executing tailored treatment plans aimed at improving patients' overall mobility, function, and quality of life, adapting sessions as necessary based on individual progress. Continuously monitor and document patient advancements during therapy sessions, keeping detailed records to facilitate communication among the healthcare team. Collaborate with the Physical Therapist and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and home strategies to support recovery efforts outside of therapy sessions. Foster a motivating and encouraging environment that builds trust, ensuring patients feel supported and empowered during their rehabilitation journey. Patient Population / Client Focus Our outpatient clinic serves a broad spectrum of patients, including adults recovering from surgical procedures, athletes rehabilitating from sport-related injuries, and individuals managing chronic conditions such as neurological disorders. You will encounter a diverse caseload that offers the opportunity to refine your skills while making a significant impact on patient recovery journeys. Our focus is on personalized treatment that addresses each patient's unique challenges, facilitating their return to optimal functioning. Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field from an accredited program. A valid and current PTA license for California, or proof of being in the licensing process. Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating a sincere commitment to patient care and communication. A strong sense of teamwork balanced with the ability to work autonomously when needed. Experience in a high-energy outpatient setting; familiarity with various therapy practices is preferred. CPR certification is mandatory or must be obtained before the start date. Preferred Experience At least 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, particularly in outpatient settings is preferred but not mandatory. Demonstrated experience with a variety of patient populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, ortho, sports medicine, and neuro.
