Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in executing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. Provide hands-on therapy interventions including trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercises to promote mobility and pain relief. Monitor patient progress, document treatment sessions accurately, and communicate observations to the supervising therapist. Educate patients and their families on physiotherapy exercises, injury prevention strategies, and discharge instructions to ensure continuity of care. Support discharge planning by coordinating with healthcare teams to facilitate smooth transitions from hospital or facility to home or other care settings. Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment while adhering to all healthcare regulations and safety protocols. Engage in ongoing professional development by staying current with advancements in physiology knowledge, medical terminology, and physiotherapy techniques. Skills Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge, physiology principles, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy. Proficiency in specialized techniques such as trigger point therapy and other manual therapy methods. Experience working in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments. Ability to develop and follow detailed care plans for diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and patients recovering from acute injuries or surgeries. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach that fosters trust and motivation. Knowledge of discharge planning processes and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams for seamless patient transitions.
