Job Summary:
Brookside Care Center, a leading healthcare provider in Stockton, CA, is seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our interdisciplinary team. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the recovery and well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities:
Assist physical therapists in planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans for patients with a range of medical conditions and injuries Conduct physical therapy treatments, including exercises, stretches, and modalities, under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist Monitor patient progress and report changes to the physical therapy team Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure seamless care transitions Maintain accurate and thorough records of patient treatments and progress Participate in patient education and family training programs to promote independence and successful discharge
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program Possess a current Physical Therapy Assistant license to practice in the state of California A strong desire to learn and grow in a dynamic healthcare environment. New grads welcomed! Ability to lift, transfer, and position patients with varying abilities and needs Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
