Position Overview Retrieve Physical Therapy, Inc. is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Tracy, California. Key Responsibilities Assist licensed Physical Therapists with comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments, always treating patients with dignity and respect. Modify and implement treatment plans and therapeutic exercises under the direction of the Physical Therapist, adapting as needed to best meet each patient's individual needs. Instruct patients on therapeutic exercises and activities, ensuring guidance is delivered with patience and empathy, emphasizing the importance of technique. Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including heat therapy, cryotherapy, and electrical stimulation, to alleviate pain and enhance physical function while prioritizing patient comfort and safety. Educate patients and their families on techniques for continuing therapy exercises at home, fostering independence and encouraging active participation in recovery. Continuously monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes meticulously, contributing valuable insights for ongoing care adjustments. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and an efficient flow of communication, enhancing the overall patient experience. Maintain accurate and complete patient records, demonstrating thorough attention to detail and compliance with healthcare regulations. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will provide care primarily to patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, neurological conditions, and other physical impairments. Our diverse patient population ranges from athletes needing sports rehabilitation to elderly patients requiring assistance with mobility and daily activities, ensuring a dynamic and engaging work experience. Qualifications An Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) is required. Current California state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant. At least 1-2 years of clinical experience in a relevant physical therapy setting is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with various treatment modalities. A solid understanding of physical therapy principles and practices, along with a genuine passion for helping patients achieve their personal recovery goals. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to provide empathetic support to patients and build strong relationships with their families. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, showcasing respect and adaptability to different working styles. Preferred Experience Prior experience in a rehabilitation center or similar healthcare environment is highly valued. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems will be beneficial for maintaining patient documentation. Knowledge or specialized training in specific therapeutic techniques, such as manual therapy or aquatic therapy, can enhance your contributions to the team. Compensation and Benefits This position offers a competitive salary range of
USD 50,000
to 70,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
