The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides services under the direction of a Physical Therapist to help patients restore function, reduce pain, and maintain performance in a home health setting. Carry out therapy plans developed by the Physical TherapistAssist with treatments to improve mobility, strength, and functionMonitor patient progress and report changes to PT and care teamEducate patients and families on exercises and care plansSupport use of equipment (wheelchairs, braces, etc.)Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentationCoordinate care with interdisciplinary team as needed Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant programActive PTA license per state requirementsStrong communication and observation skillsExperience working with geriatric patients preferredAbility to work independently and as part of a teamValid drivers license and reliable transportation Work Environment Home health / community-based settingTravel required between patient homesExposure to clinical environments and conditions
