In this vital role, you will assist licensed physical therapists in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care to diverse patient populations across outpatient clinics, Your expertise will help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their overall quality of life through tailored treatment plans and hands-on therapy. Duties Implement prescribed physical therapy treatments, including manual therapy techniques, to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. Assist in conducting clinical assessments and documenting patient progress accurately in accordance with clinical documentation standards and medical terminology. Operate and maintain medical equipment used in physical therapy sessions, ensuring safety and proper functionality. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals—including physicians, work comp carriers. Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently to ensure accurate medical documentation and seamless communication across care teams. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transition from active treatment to home or other care settings, emphasizing patient education and caregiver communication. Provide specialized therapies such as physiotherapy techniques for orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, or post-surgical rehabilitation within outpatient setting. Qualifications Valid certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with current licensure or registration as required by state law. Proven experience in physical therapy treatment implementation across various settings such as outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, inpatient units, or home health. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and clinical assessment documentation standards. Hands-on experience with manual therapy techniques including prom and post op ortho care Proficiency in operating medical equipment used in physical therapy sessions and managing electronic health records (EHR). Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver and client interaction, ensuring clear explanations of treatment plans and progress. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
