Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN per diem Physical Therapist Assistant to join our lively healthcare team, to cover the area of North Pasco and into Hernando County. Therapist owned company with physical locations, and a home health division. Come join our team of quality driven staff in a steadily growing practice, with a large orthopedic group's referrals, and community based referrals as well to mix it all up. (opportunities to share hours with our Outpatient division are possible in the future). The ideal candidate will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality care to patients in their home, both under home health companies, and as outpatients seen in-home. Responsibilities Assist physical therapists in implementing personalized treatment plans for patients, as well as development of ideal treatment/modifications. Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patients' mobility, strength, and overall physical function. Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist. Educate patients and their families on exercise techniques, home health strategies, and care plans. Create accurate daily documentation of patient treatments and progress in our EMR in compliance with medical standards. Utilize on site learned techniques as needed to enhance patient recovery. Experience Previous experience in home healthcare setting is preferred (1 year). Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is essential for effective communication and treatment planning. Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities including outpatient services and home health care practices is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with the PT's, patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
