Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this vital role, you will support patient recovery and mobility through skilled therapeutic interventions. Your expertise will help improve the quality of life for our residents across inpatient, outpatient, home health, and skilled nursing settings. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans for residents. Provide therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy to promote healing and mobility. Monitor patient progress, document treatment outcomes, and communicate updates to the healthcare team. Support discharge planning by preparing residents for transition back to home or other care settings. Educate residents and their families on physiotherapy techniques and injury prevention strategies. Maintain accurate records of treatments administered, patient responses, and clinical observations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care across various settings including clinics, hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities. Requirements Valid licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience in physiotherapy with knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and care plan development. Hands-on experience with outpatient clinics, inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments. Skilled in specialized techniques such as trigger point therapy and orthopedics-focused interventions. Strong understanding of geriatrics, pediatrics, acute care, and discharge planning processes. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and coordinate with healthcare teams. Ability to work independently while maintaining a positive attitude and proactive approach.
