This is an excellent opportunity for a therapist who is passionate about helping medically complex children improve their functional mobility, independence, and quality of life within a nurturing and supportive environment. Position Overview The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys working with children, demonstrates patience and empathy, and is motivated to continue learning and growing clinically. We are looking for a team-oriented professional who values family-centered care and understands the importance of creating meaningful therapeutic experiences for pediatric patients with complex medical and developmental needs. This position is full-time and offers a competitive hourly rate based on experience, starting from $40 per hour . What We Are Looking For We are searching for a PTA who possesses: A warm, caring, and compassionate personality Strong communication and interpersonal skills A positive attitude and willingness to learn Patience and creativity when working with children of varying abilities The ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team Strong observational and documentation skills Dependability, professionalism, and flexibility A genuine passion for pediatric rehabilitation Preferred Experience While pediatric experience is preferred, we are open to candidates who are eager to learn and grow within the pediatric setting. Candidates with experience or knowledge in the following areas are highly encouraged to apply: Neurological rehabilitation Orthopedic rehabilitation Pediatric physical therapy Developmental delays Motor planning deficits Positioning and mobility training Gait training and balance interventions Adaptive equipment and orthotics Sensory and behavioral considerations in therapy Patient Population Our therapists work closely with children diagnosed with a variety of complex medical and developmental conditions, including but not limited to: Cerebral Palsy Rett Syndrome Dandy-Walker Syndrome Diabetes and medically fragile conditions Global developmental delays Motor planning and coordination deficits Neuromuscular disorders Orthopedic impairments Genetic and neurological conditions Responsibilities The Physical Therapist Assistant will: Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist Facilitate therapeutic activities focused on improving strength, mobility, balance, coordination, posture, endurance, and functional independence Assist children with gross motor development and mobility milestones Monitor patient responses and communicate progress to the supervising PT and interdisciplinary team Maintain accurate and timely documentation Build positive relationships with patients, families, nurses, and staff Assist with positioning, transfers, gait training, and therapeutic exercises Contribute to a fun, engaging, and supportive therapeutic environment Qualifications Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Florida CPR certification preferred Pediatric experience preferred but not required Experience in neurological and orthopedic settings is a strong plus Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required Why Join Our Team?
