Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Provide hands-on therapy techniques, including trigger point therapy, to alleviate pain and improve function. Support patient care by monitoring progress, documenting responses to treatments, and adjusting interventions as directed. Educate patients and their families on physiotherapy exercises, mobility techniques, and discharge planning strategies. Conduct assessments related to anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to ensure accurate delivery of care. Participate in inpatient, outpatient, home health visits, and skilled nursing facility settings to deliver consistent therapy services. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning and coordinate care for patients across various healthcare environments. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology essential for effective patient care. Proficiency in physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and other manual therapies. Experience working in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments. Familiarity with discharge planning processes and managing care plans for diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics. Ability to communicate clearly with patients of all ages and backgrounds while demonstrating empathy and professionalism. Knowledge of orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, acute care, and outpatient therapy practices enhances your versatility.
