Key Responsibilities:
Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans tailored to patient needs Administer therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy and other manual techniques to alleviate pain and improve function Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatments accurately in medical records Educate patients and their families on exercises, mobility strategies, and injury prevention techniques Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transition to home or other care settings Provide care across diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and patients in acute or outpatient settings Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment adhering to healthcare standards and protocols Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care delivery Experience Candidates should have prior experience working in environments such as skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or inpatient units. Specific experience in the following areas is highly valued: Skilled nursing facility experience with geriatric populations Outpatient physiotherapy clinics specializing in orthopedics or sports medicine Home health settings providing therapy services in patients' residences Experience with discharge planning processes for diverse patient groups Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology relevant to physiotherapy practice Proficiency in applying trigger point therapy techniques for pain management Familiarity with care plans tailored for pediatrics or geriatrics is advantageous Applicants must demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering compassionate patient care. A solid understanding of physiotherapy principles combined with hands-on experience will enable you to excel in this role.
