Job Description

Adventist Health is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to support evidence-based rehabilitation services in our faith-based, mission-driven setting. Working under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will guide patients through therapeutic exercises, mobility and gait training, and functional activities that restore strength, independence, and quality of life. You'll document progress in the EMR, educate patients and families on home programs, and uphold high standards of safety and infection control. Responsibilities Assist Physical Therapists with implementing individualized treatment plans Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, mobility, and gait training Document patient progress accurately in the EMREducate patients and families on home exercises and safety Maintain equipment and treatment areas to safety and infection control standards Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and providers on coordinated care Monitor patient tolerance to therapy and report changes promptly Support whole-person care aligned with Adventist Health's mission and values Required Skills Therapeutic exercise implementation Manual therapy techniques Patient mobility and gait training Physical therapy equipment operation Treatment plan execution Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation Patient and family education Infection control procedures Vital signs monitoring Interdisciplinary care coordination
