Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), where your expertise will directly impact patient recovery and well-being. In this vital role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care across diverse settings, including inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics, home health environments, and skilled nursing facilities. Your hands-on skills and compassionate approach will help patients regain mobility, manage pain, and achieve their health goals. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing personalized care plans for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics. Conduct therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy techniques, and exercises to improve strength, flexibility, and function. Monitor patient progress, document responses to treatment, and communicate updates to the supervising therapist. Educate patients and their families on physiotherapy techniques, discharge planning, and home exercise programs to promote ongoing recovery. Support patient care activities across various settings—acute care units, outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, and home health visits—ensuring safety and comfort at all times. Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize care plans for complex cases involving orthopedics, post-surgical rehabilitation, or chronic conditions. Experience Proven experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant in inpatient or outpatient settings; skilled nursing facility experience is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and physiotherapy principles essential for effective patient care. Hands-on experience with trigger point therapy techniques and other manual therapy modalities. Familiarity with discharge planning processes and managing care plans for diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics. Prior involvement in acute care environments or outpatient clinics specializing in orthopedics or sports medicine is preferred. Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining excellent communication with supervising therapists and healthcare teams. $26.23 - $31.96 per hour
