Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Conduct therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and assist with modalities to promote healing and mobility. Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatment accurately in medical records. Educate patients and their families on exercises, activity modifications, and discharge instructions to support ongoing recovery at home or in care facilities. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines during all patient interactions. Participate in ongoing training on physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and specialized therapies relevant to outpatient, geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and other specialties. Requirements Valid certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) from an accredited program. Eligible for licensure with the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts. Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology essential for effective patient care. Proven ability to develop and follow detailed care plans for diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics. Familiarity with outpatient clinics or orthopedic rehabilitation settings is advantageous. Strong communication skills to educate patients about therapy procedures and discharge instructions clearly and empathetically. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams across outpatient settings while maintaining a positive attitude. Compassionate to all walks of life.
