Certified Physical Therapist Assistant Apex Sport & Spine Physical Therapy Louisville, KY Job Details Part-time $45 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications Direct patient care CPR Certification Physical Therapy Treatment plan documentation BLS Certification Care documentation Organizational skills Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant Full Job Description Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Part-Time Apex Sport & Spine Physical Therapy is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our growing outpatient clinic in Louisville, Kentucky. This is an onsite, part-time position with an anticipated schedule of 10-30 hours per week based on patient caseload. Compensation is $45 per hour. Responsibilities Provide individualized, one-hour physical therapy treatment visits under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist. The supervising physical therapist will be available and accessible by telecommunications during all PTA working hours. Carry out treatment plans established by the supervising physical therapist. Guide patients through therapeutic exercise, mobility, functional training, and other interventions within the PTA's education, competency, and Kentucky scope of practice. Monitor patient response and promptly communicate changes, concerns, or lack of progress to the supervising physical therapist. Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation after every visit. Maintain a safe, organized, professional, and patient-centered treatment environment. Coordinate with the supervising physical therapist regarding treatment progression and patient needs. The physical therapist will perform initial evaluations and required reassessments, manage plan-of-care changes, and perform final/discharge assessments under Apex policy. Minimum qualifications Current, unrestricted Kentucky Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing by the first patient-care shift. Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program, or another education pathway accepted for Kentucky PTA licensure. Current CPR/BLS certification. Strong communication, documentation, organization, and patient-care skills. Ability to work independently within a PT-established plan of care while maintaining consistent communication with the supervising physical therapist.
