We are seeking skilled and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to provide exceptional care and assistance to patients undergoing rehabilitation and treatment. Your role will involve implementing treatment plans, assisting with therapeutic techniques, and closely monitoring patients' progress.
Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on care to patients, assisting with exercises, stretches, and physical activities as directed by the Physical Therapist. Assist in implementing treatment plans by carrying out specific interventions and therapeutic techniques, such as modalities (heat/cold packs, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound) along with manual therapy. Monitor patients' progress during therapy sessions, documenting observations and reporting findings to the supervising Physical Therapist. Educate patients and their families on their condition, treatment goals, and exercises/activities to be performed at home to support recovery. Maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas, ensuring cleanliness, functionality, and proper organization. Collaborate with the supervising Physical Therapist and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and effective patient care. Adhere to ethical and legal standards, respecting patient confidentiality and upholding professional guidelines.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant program from an accredited institution. Valid state licensure or as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and physical therapy techniques. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Prior experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting is preferred.
