Full-Time Job Description:
The Physical Therapy Assistant shall be responsible for providing, under the direction of a Physical Therapist, therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards. The Physical Therapy Assistant shall also demonstrate accountability for and contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem-solving and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion.
Job Duties:
Provides age appropriate therapeutic interventions. Formalized and goal directed educational/training activities are provided based on individual needs and evidence-based practice.

Patient/resident/client response to treatment is consistently documented as evidenced by patient/residents/clients achievement of goals and/or goal revisions in collaboration with supervising therapist.

Communicates changes in patient/resident/client status to the supervising therapist.

Provides patient/resident/client and family/caregiver education and training that assists with continued functional independence.

Provides clinical oversight, in accordance with state practice act, of support staff, including supervision, communication, and supportive documentation.

Participates in interdisciplinary care conference, meetings, as directed, and provides/seeks input to/from others on patient/resident/client care.
