This full-time position offers consistent hours—35 per week—beginning in late August for a 12-week leave coverage, with the possibility of extension. Use your expertise as a Physical Therapist Assistant to make a positive impact while collaborating closely with students and dedicated educational teams.
Desired Experience and Skills:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Massachusetts Experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred Strong background in delivering PTA services within healthcare and school contexts Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team Skilled at adapting therapeutic activities to suit a range of student abilities and ages Excellent communication and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct physical therapy support services to students as directed by supervising Physical Therapist Implement and monitor individualized therapy plans based on student IEPs and established therapy goals Collaborate with teachers, parents, and therapists to ensure optimum student support and integration within the classroom environment Document progress, maintain records, and participate in meetings as required for student care and compliance purposes Contribute to an inclusive and engaging educational atmosphere through professional, compassionate care
