      We are currently seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). While working here, you will enjoy: Employee Engagement Activities Positive work environment Excellent Training The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for providing physical therapy treatments to patients to facilitate increased independence and functioning under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist. Duties and Responsibilities Assist the Physical Therapist in providing direct patient care to residents requiring rehabilitation services. Implement treatment programs established by the Physical Therapist according to the patient's capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician. Monitor and document residents' responses to treatment and report progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist. Help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence. Educate residents and families on therapy techniques and safety procedures as directed by the Physical Therapist. Complete required documentation including daily treatment notes and other assigned records in a timely and accurate manner. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide patient-centered care. Perform all other duties assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation. Maintain compliance with confidentiality policies, HIPAA regulations, and Federal Residents' Rights. Requirements/Qualifications Must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program. Must hold a valid PTA license and registration in the state of practice. Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care preferred, but not required. Experience with Case Mix Index and PPS scheduling preferred, but not required.
