Physical Therapy Assistant Job TitlePhysical Therapist Assistant (PTA)LocationPocomoke, MDSchedule / Job TypeContract | Temp-to-Hire | Onsite | Full-Time | Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-6:00 PM (4x10 schedule)Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct patient care to adult orthopedic patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, conducting daily treatment visits scheduled in 30-minute intervals
  • Treat a broad range of orthopedic conditions including but not limited to ACL tears, rotator cuff injuries, disc herniation, total joint replacement, plantar fasciitis, and generalized low back pain
  • Support a caseload of approximately 55 patient visits per week within a small outpatient clinic setting
  • Complete clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner using the NextGen documentation system, supported by AI-assisted documentation tools
  • Collaborate with the supervising Physical Therapist and support staff to ensure continuity and quality of patient care Required Qualifications
  • Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Maryland or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a PTA; new graduates will not be considered
  • Experience in general orthopedics
  • Ability to manage a structured outpatient caseload independently under PT supervision Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience treating a wide variety of orthopedic diagnoses including post-operative and non-surgical cases across upper and lower extremity conditions
  • Familiarity with NextGen or similar electronic medical record (EMR) documentation platforms
  • Comfort working in a small, collaborative outpatient clinic environment Why Join Us
