Physical Therapist Assistant
Job Title:
Physical Therapist Assistant (Perm Position)We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team on a permanent basis. The Physical Therapist Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitative care to patients with physical impairments, injuries, or disabilities. This role focuses on helping patients regain mobility, strength, and function while promoting independence and improving overall quality of life- -
Responsibilities:
- Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans to help patients restore mobility, strength, balance, and coordination.
- Conduct therapeutic exercises and administer modalities as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Observe patients during treatments, track their progress, and report changes in condition or response to therapy.
- Instruct patients and families in home exercise programs, proper body mechanics, and safe mobility techniques.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and updates in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the therapy area and equipment are clean, safe, and properly maintained.
- Support patients with transfers, gait training, and use of assistive devices as needed.
- Communicate effectively with Physical Therapists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Foster a positive, motivating, and supportive environment for patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
- Stay current with industry standards, therapeutic techniques, and best practices in physical therapy
Qualifications:
- Current and active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of practice.
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Previous experience in a clinical, hospital, or rehabilitation setting preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow treatment plans accurately and work collaboratively with supervising Physical Therapists.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a commitment to quality care.
- Physical ability to assist patients with mobility and therapeutic exercises. Pay Rate $27.00
