Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing personalized care plans for patients across inpatient, outpatient, home health, and skilled nursing facility settings. Implement therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to alleviate pain and improve function. Support patient care by monitoring progress, providing education on exercises, and ensuring proper use of assistive devices. Conduct assessments related to physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to inform treatment strategies. Participate in discharge planning processes by preparing patients for transition to home or other care environments. Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and care plans in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery for patients with orthopedic, geriatric, pediatric, or acute care needs. Experience Previous experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant in outpatient clinics, inpatient units, or skilled nursing facilities is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy and modalities used in acute care or geriatrics. Familiarity with home health environments and discharge planning processes is advantageous. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and care plan development. Experience working with diverse patient populations such as pediatrics or geriatrics enhances your ability to adapt treatment approaches effectively. Skilled at providing compassionate patient care while supporting rehabilitation goals through evidence-based practices. Certification or licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required; ongoing professional development in orthopedics or outpatient therapy is a plus.
