Physical Therapy Technician Open to both experienced candidates and those eager to learn! About Us Specialists in Rehabilitation Medicine (SIRM) is a busy and growing physical medicine and rehabilitation practice. Our therapy team provides excellent rehabilitation care to patients and referral sources. We are seeking enthusiastic Physical Therapy Technicians to join our team. This role is ideal for those with prior experience in physical therapy support or for candidates interested in gaining valuable skills in a healthcare setting. What You'll Do Welcome and assist patients and visitors, guiding them through the registration process. Answer phones, manage faxes, and operate office equipment (printer, copier, scanner). Collect and verify insurance information, patient demographics, and authorizations. Use the electronic health record system for scheduling and documentation. Assist physical therapists with treatment procedures, such as: Hot/cold pack application Ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and LASER therapy Pelvic and cervical traction Gait training Setting up exercise and treatment equipment Safe transfer and transportation of patients Follow proper infection control and isolation procedures. Perform daily and monthly clinic maintenance (cleaning, laundry, equipment upkeep). What We're Looking For Interest in healthcare and a willingness to learn new skills. Previous knowledge of anatomy, personal training, or medical terminology is a plus, but not required. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
