Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in our outpatient clinic. Your primary focus will be on assisting patients in their recovery journey through rehabilitation exercises and therapeutic interventions tailored to their individual needs. Responsibilities Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients. Provide direct patient care by administering therapeutic exercises and modalities as prescribed. Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies. Document patient treatments, progress notes, and discharge planning accurately in compliance with medical standards. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to infection control protocols. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Stay updated on best practices in physical therapy techniques and patient care. Requirements Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and discharge planning processes. Experience or familiarity with various patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and home health settings is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members. Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy while providing patient care.
