Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will support licensed physical therapists in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care to diverse patient populations across outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and home health settings. Your expertise will help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall function through tailored therapy interventions. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing comprehensive physical therapy treatment plans for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics. Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and modalities under supervision to promote healing and mobility. Operate and maintain medical equipment used in physiotherapy sessions, ensuring safety and proper functioning. Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately in electronic health records (EHR) following clinical documentation standards. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals—including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists—to coordinate patient care plans. Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, care plans, and post-discharge instructions to support ongoing recovery at home or in skilled nursing facilities. Monitor patient responses during therapy sessions, adjusting interventions as needed while adhering to medical terminology and physiotherapy best practices. Qualifications Valid certification or license as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) from an accredited program. Proven experience working with diverse patient populations in outpatient clinics, inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy. Skilled in manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and other physiotherapy modalities. Familiarity with clinical assessment documentation and medical documentation standards. Ability to operate medical equipment safely and manage electronic health records efficiently. Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver and client interaction; compassionate approach to patient care. $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
